One-Week Day Camp
One-Week Summer Special
These one-week programs are thorough and intensive. The courses are three hours a day and designed for ease in learning through fun and interactive activities. Students who enroll, must be able to handle the concepts and put them into practice. Therefore, students should meet the following criteria in order to enroll in any of the one-week programs:
• Have a B+ or better conduct record
• Have an above average academic record
• Follow directions easily
• Remain on task
• Shift tasks easily
• Display cooperative behavior
SOCIALLY SPEAKING I (10-17)
This program is designed to train skills necessary for demonstrating appropriate behavior in any situation through interactive activities, role play tasks, and overnight activities. Lessons will teach the proper ways to behave with opportunities for students to not only imitate models presented but to implement correction strategies following practice of the skills. Hopefully, this will lead to social and academic adequacy so that students can achieve successful functioning and survival skills that they will be use as they mature.

SOCIALLY SPEAKING II (10-17)
This program is designed to train skills necessary for demonstrating appropriate behavior in any situation through interactive activities, role play tasks, and overnight activities. Lessons will teach the proper ways to behave with opportunities for students to not only imitate models presented but to implement correction strategies following practice of the skills. Hopefully, this will lead to social and academic adequacy so that students can achieve successful functioning and survival skills that will be demonstrated as they mature. The second part is a continuation of Part I.

SPEAKING SKILLS I
This course is designed to give students an edge in expressing intentions effectively. This fast paced course focuses on the skills to become effective as a speaker. Emphasis will be placed on listening, pronunciation, troublesome words, troublesome grammar, voice projection and body language. The course allows for videotaping and review of your Introductory and Impromptu Speeches. A copy of each student’s videotaped assignment will be presented at the end of the course.

SPEAKING SKILLS II
This course is designed to give students an edge in expressing intentions effectively. This fast paced course focuses on the skills to become effective as a speaker and employs the skills learned in Speaking I. Exercises strengthen speech preparation and presentation skills. Videotapes and critiques of each Informative and Persuasive Speech will demonstrate skills learned in a practical exercise. A copy of each student’s videotaped assignment will be presented at the end of the course.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION (14-18)
This one-week course focuses on strategies for dealing with conflict in real-life situations. Concepts of conflict resolution, explanations of each concept and concrete illustrations that relate to adolescents are emphasized. This is a fast-paced course filled with practical and interactive activities designed to enhance learning by doing. The class is limited to 15 participants.
