* After lunch, scheduled community experiences may be arranged with local businesses for students to volunteer in customer service. This will be a realistic opportunity for them to put into practice their newly learned communication and social skills. Students may make announcements in stores or read to the elderly, for example. Parents may observe from a distance and take pride in their child’s development toward effective communication and leadership skills.
